It depends on the model. There are devices with ATEX, IECEx, Japan Ex (JPEx), UL, China Ex (NEPSI), Korea Ex (KCs), and India Ex (PESO). Before specifying the equipment, tell us which standard you need to comply with in your plant and we will confirm if the model meets it.
The portable one (series XP, XA, XX, XDS) is for someone to wear or check an area before entering. The fixed head (series KD-12, PD-12, PE-2, PD-14) is permanently installed at a point and connected to an alarm panel (series NV, VAS/V3, PS-7/PS-8) to monitor that area all the time.
